I have always had a passion for woodworking since my teenage years. It was not until late in life that I had been able to acquire the tools necessary for precise and repeatable quality work. Having had a long career as an engineer, further developed in me this passion for quality, and desire for beauty in the craft that is woodworking. My woodworking encompasses the gamut of craft from bandsaw boxes, boxes with attractive dovetailed joints, an assortment of furniture from rocking chairs to cabinetry. Seventeen years ago, the building of a timber frame home expanded my view of what is possible to build with wood, and developed new abilities which now includes timber framing and also making the raw building blocks for it - green lumber and timbers from saw milling.
The mission for my business is to provide to the client or customer access to both my craft products either in inventory or via a custom order.
I can be hired to construct chairs similar in designs to what the legendary chair maker Sam Maloof made in the in the latter part of the 20th century. There are plenty of photos in the “gallery” section of this website.
I will also produce certain stock items such as laminated cutting blocks, band saw and dovetail boxes which can be ordered by mail.
For woodworkers, I will provide the service to do custom milling of hardwood lumber from logs that they provide. I can also provide ancillary services such as brush chipping and stump grinding.
I have been a member of the Greenville Woodworkers Guild since 2007.
